Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress as well as a director producer and singer. A beautiful, smart and talented actor, she's an model for Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. After several appearances on popular television series her name was a household name after being cast in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in her popularity, she landed roles on big screens including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren In Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the meantime she was a leading lady in flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were equally prominent. Then she began voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress.
