Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress as well as a director producer and singer. A beautiful, smart and talented actor, she's an model for Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. After several appearances on popular television series her name was a household name after being cast in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in her popularity, she landed roles on big screens including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress. Liu is extremely cautious when choosing her roles so that she doesn't become the victim of a highly competitive industry. Liu is a gifted artist who has not been constrained due to her ethnic background.
